Small business, difficult decisions...

Updated: Dec 24, 2025

Peaceful outdoor scene representing reflection and difficult decisions faced by a small business owner.

It has been a while since I have posted as difficult unforeseen circumstances occurred in my life this past week that forced me to abandon various plans including heavily promoting our Christmas range, creating new videos for YouTube, posting regularly etc as I have had to deal with and process these circumstances first.

Small businesses are required to make difficult decisions all the time and at this current time my thoughts are; if I promote the Christmas range via Google Ads, it wouldn't be a good idea as it takes approximately two weeks for the platform to pick up any traction to see if the ad is successful and by then it will already be Christmas so I have had to make the difficult decision to take down the Christmas range for this year and I will bring it back next year with the respect, publicity and promotion that it deserves and hopefully it will land in a big way without any major hiccups in 2026.

I know this may be disappointing for some but I don't like doing things half-heartedly. If I am launching something special, I am ALL in and if I feel that I cannot do justice to my work then I have to bow out temporarily and come back better than ever at a later time.

My life circumstances and responsibilities require a lot of adjustments and sometimes business plans can go awry in the process (this is also the reason why we sometimes have a lengthy delivery timescale in comparison to other small businesses.) It can be really hard sometimes, because I have no control over them. There are so many plans/hopes/dreams that I want to achieve in my own timeline, but at the same time the spiritual side of me has come to realise (especially this year) that God makes things align in His timing and not mine and what doesn't happen wasn't meant to be (not yet anyway,) so fingers crossed this range will be back bigger and better in 2026. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

In other news, you will be glad to know that the website search bar issue highlighted in my last blog post has been fixed now and you can search as normal. Yayee!

I hope you are all getting geared up for Christmas and continue to spread love and light amongst one another!
